Coffee is primarily grown in the southern-most state of Chiapas, where tropical conditions, higher altitudes, and volcanic soils create ideal growing conditions. Coffee was originally introduced to the Veracruz region the Caribbean, but nowadays, most coffee is produced in the Chiapas region.
