Pleasant slight nutmeg spice notes appear with nuances of strawberry, and kiwi. There is a rich caramel like sweetness in the finish. This coffee is great at almost any roast level, it works with almost any brewing style, including cold brews, French presses, espressos, americanas, cappuccinos, and lattes. If you prefer a piquant cup go with a medium roast or lighter. Many coffee drinkers prefer their Guatemalan coffees at a Full City Roast or darker where the chocolate/spice tones come to the front in a much more vibrant way. Antigua Iglesias coffee comes from the plantations Santo Tomas and El Vallecito. Both are located on the slopes of Volcano Aqua where the coffee is grown under Gravilea trees in rich volcanic soil. After harvest, the coffee is brought to the famous mill Concepcion Escuintla. During the coffee’s time at Concepcion it is sun-dried on patios, separated by size, density, and color.
